The Manufacturing Department 1 is responsible for cutting processes. Cutting is the first step in manufacturing. It’s enjoyable to work while thinking about how to process efficiently and accurately.
What is rewarding about your job?

In Manufacturing Department 3, we primarily focus on welding.
Welding is a process that requires a high level of skill. While it might seem like simple work to join parts together, it’s actually quite complex! Achieving a clean finish requires careful consideration of welding angles, distances, and sounds.
I find satisfaction in mastering challenging welding techniques over time and seeing my own growth.
What made you decide to join the company?
Above all, I think Katsushiro Matex has great people. The interviewers who handled my application process were friendly and made me genuinely want to join this company. After joining, I felt that I had a close relationship with my superiors, making it easy to consult with them. In the Production Technology Division, we are responsible for the overall design and configuration of production lines to achieve high quality, low cost, and on-time delivery. This includes planning equipment replacement, specifying new equipment, preparing for new equipment installation, designing production lines, mold design, robot programming, and post-implementation improvements to enhance production efficiency and work environments. Additionally, we support Katshiro Matex’s overseas factories.
What skills are required?
Working in the Production Technology Division often involves collaboration with the manufacturing floor, meetings with equipment manufacturers and customers, so strong communication skills are necessary. Moreover, for equipment maintenance and improvement, analyzing data and on-site conditions is crucial for considering and deciding on actions. This department requires a wealth of expertise, including the ability to think logically from a wealth of information and derive the best solutions, problem-solving skills, knowledge of equipment operation, performance, structure, electrical aspects, design-related knowledge, and robot programming.

This department conducts confirmation inspections to ensure the quality of products. The inspection process is the final checkpoint before delivering products to customers to ensure there are no defects. It’s a crucial position with some pressure, but I believe it’s vital. When defects are found in products, I work collaboratively with related departments to identify and improve the issues, ensuring they do not recur, which is very fulfilling!
